Trade Center attack. Outlined below are details of Manhattan Class A buildings
(destroyed, damaged, remaining), as well as damaged Class B and C square
footage. The impact of the attack on the Downtown office market is as follows:
-60% of Class A buildings was damaged or destroyed;
-Only 18.8 million square feet of Class A space was operational after 9/11;
31.1 million square feet of Class A space is operational as of 1/8/02; and,
-The total damaged and destroyed Class A, B, and C square footage surveyed
was 34.5 million square feet. |
