In June 2000, Conant
Architects began its search for 1,000-2,000 square feet for its
inaugural Manhattan office. The company toured three sites
in Midtown before signing a lease at 50 East 42nd Street for 1,424
square feet in August 2000.

In June 2000, Peter Conant, who has been in the Architectural and Design field for 23
years, started his own firm, Conant Architects, in New York City
after a 16-year career with Swanke Hayden Connell Architects. The
